Comprises history of Evansford, Vic., undated, but written between 1907 and 1972, and photograph of Evansford State School and pupils, ca. 1876, accompanied by a letter from Sir Ronald East, 9 October 1972, regarding both of these. Also, documents of Ronald East's, relating to World War Two. These include three National Registration Cards, 1939 copies (originals were sent to the Commonwealth Statistician, Melbourne) recording the assets and liabilities of Mr Lewis Ronald East and Mrs Constance Lilias East, and the personal details of Ronald East; two application forms for ration tickets for liquid fuel; form filled out by Ronald East, 12 August 1941, declaring quatity of motor spirit possessed; "Notice to consumers" regarding National Security (Liquid Fuel) Regulations; three ration tickets for motor spirit; document from Directorate of Emergency Road Transport, Vic., 14 March 1945, giving permission for Ronald East, Chairman of State Rivers and Water Supply Commission, to drive at 40 mph while on official duty; "secret" memo to Ronald East on SR & WSC letterhead, 25 August 1939, listing employees authorised to operate the SR & WSC War Book; printed booklet "Bulletin" No.17, 1 October 1943, published by the Lord Mayor's Committee for Civil Morale, Melbourne; identity card of Ronald East, 28 April 1942, for Civilian Registration (British Subjects); document concerning renewal of Ronald East's War Damage to Property Insurance, 24 December 1942; and colour printed coupons promoting civilian subscription to the Liberty Loan Scheme- "You can fight too- with your money."
